THE CFP DIFFERENCE

EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE

CFP students experience the joy and satisfaction that come with educational excellence, no matter the direction of their future path. They learn how to think, and their teachers have the autonomy and creativity to meet students where they are.

STUDENT ENGAGEMENT

Teachers at Clark Fork Prep believe meaningful academic content supports student engagement. By working hard at tasks they consider relevant to their lives, CFP students remain interested and motivated.

Coursework is designed around a variety of formats. Students pursue academic offerings in math, science, English, social studies, the arts, and world languages during two semesters of 80-minute class periods. These courses include both core curricula and electives, and they are taught by experienced and qualified faculty trained in their respective disciplines.

EXPLORATIONS

Our weekly Explorations support the electives program by offering students opportunities to work with community members. These once-a-week meetings focus on everything from cooking to computer repair to songwriting to mindfulness. Explorations rotate each quarter, so CFP students have numerous chances to try new activities, and these connections with community members also support future mentorship possibilities as well as future service learning endeavors.

IMMERSIVES

At the end of each semester, the whole school shifts into a different dynamic with our Immersives. These three-week block terms give students and teachers the opportunity for truly deep engagement with a topic, whether it’s interdisciplinary and team-taught or experiential and out in the community. These purpose-driven and energizing courses are credit-earning, and they give students the time and space to grapple with real issues.

With purpose and engagement at the core of our academic program, CFP allows students to experience true educational excellence. Our caring and committed faculty help students reach their potential.
