ATHLETICS

Education takes place both in and out of the classroom, and Clark Fork Prep values the role athletics can play in students’ lives. The city of Missoula boasts a variety of sports programs, and at CFP, we encourage our students to take part in these fantastic opportunities.

Whether interested in soccer or swimming, cross country or lacrosse, volleyball or football–and everything in between–Clark Fork Prep athletes will receive the support they need to pursue their passions. The school day is structured to allow full participation in all of the city’s public school sports teams, and CFP will strive to accommodate students who are absent for competitions.

Besides facilitating participation in the public school programs, Clark Fork Prep encourages students to engage in athletic endeavors outside the traditional school team programs. Activities like rock climbing, skiing, disc golf, and mountain biking are all popular options for Missoula Valley teens. CFP students will also have access to school-sponsored sports clubs, driven by their own interests. Keen to train for the annual Riverbank Run? Consider starting an afterschool running club! Want to practice pickleball? Now’s your chance to share your enthusiasm with your classmates!

Participation in sports allows kids a range of vital experiences: team camaraderie, achieving personal goals, dealing with loss, preparing for a challenge, and–at the best of times–celebrating victories. And these experiences extend to the fans as well. CFP recognizes the importance of celebrating each other’s many talents, whether that’s joining the local hockey team or finding a spot in the stands with other students to cheer on their peers. CFP students will grow from their athletic experiences, and their shared participation on the public school teams will strengthen the fabric of the Missoula community.

We know learning happens on and off the field, court, slopes, and trails, and we’re committed to supporting students as they explore their many interests.
