THE CFP DIFFERENCE

At Clark Fork Prep, students have a range of opportunities to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Clark Fork Prep places learners at the center of what we do. We start with fundamental principles of learning rather than a single model of instruction or preset programming, and we craft our curricula, course sequencing, and graduation requirements around these basic principles. Regardless of the subject matter, we know that students learn best when:

  • The learning is active, purposeful, and experiential.

  • They are motivated, especially by a desire for mastery.

  • They interact with a community of learners in shared, meaningful work.

The school’s curriculum and course structure encourage students to experience academic disciplines in a variety of formats. Whether participating in weekly Explorations, the twice-yearly Immersive blocks, or the school’s core curriculum, CFP students pursue an engaging and challenging education.

Each subject area is intentionally designed by individual departments to support students and prepare them for the next level. Schoolwide, teachers align inter-departmental coursework and expectations to create a cohesive Program of Study across disciplines and grade levels.

Meaningful work built on authentic relationships–and authentic relationships developed from the shared experience of meaningful work–reflect CFP’s core values. We invite you to discover a different kind of high school experience at Clark Fork Prep!
